Evaluative Research

— Remote Testing —

Worked with an external recruitment agency, I recruited 10 IT pros outside of Dell with an average of 15 years IT experiences. In order to make sure my design serves a wide range of users, I purposely requested for at least 1 participant with less than 5 years of experiences and 1 participant with more than 10 years of experiences. All testings sessions are monitored remotely in Zoom with mouse control.

The main goal of this usability testing study is to —

  • Evaluate the new upgrade workflow

  • Discover areas of improvements

  • Explore and test out the idea of an “Easy Upgrade“

— Research Findings —

100% task completion

Participants were able to perform the Upgrade Readiness Check and Complete an Upgrade Successfully

SUS score 93.75

The System Usability Scale (SUS) provides a “quick and dirty”, reliable tool for measuring the usability.
